Remember, this was the early 80's, we were dirt poor, and we purchased everything ourselves (no help from anyone and no loaners). We had Salvation Army furniture, and it definitely shows! But, it was a great time; I wouldn't have changed a thing. The photos are rather yellow now, but you can get a general idea of how the wall and duster (skirt) look in the kitchen shot (check peninsula "counter") and you can see just a bit of the wall behind the china cabinet. Y'all have it much better than we did, with nicer furnishings, and more of them. You also have a COLOR television, and it's a lot bigger than a 9" diagonal screen. Talk about high cotton!!! Your walls would also look better, because we found wooden paneling that can be stained to match rather than just having to settle for something pre-fab that doesn't match at all (like we had to do).
